Here's just a small sampling of the projects we are working on right now.

food rescue

Food rescue allows us to tackle two problems simultaneously: food waste and hunger. Each week, we recover unexpired food that would otherwise go to waste and put it on the shopping floor at our food shelf. We currently receive donated food from:

Whole Foods: Uptown

Lunds & Byerlys: Uptown and Cedar

Cub Foods: Minnehaha

Fulton Farmers Market

joyce uptown foodshelf garden

Our garden helps feed people fresh vegetables throughout the summer and fall. We are currently growing kale, a variety of peppers, tomatoes, onions, peas, bush beans, and basil.

Plant shelf

When available, we provide shoppers with houseplants. Especially in the winter months, a plant can make a huge difference, bringing vibrance and color to people’s homes.

We rely primarily on donations of plants and can accept rooted cuttings and potted plants on Fridays from 9-12pm.
